with SHANNON LEE GEORGE, LMT

Massage therapy is a type of treatment in which a trained and certified medical professional manipulates the soft tissues of your body — muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin — using varying degrees of pressure and movement.

Massage therapy is used to relieve pain, rehabilitate injuries, reduce stress, increase relaxation, and aid in the general wellness of clients.

It also has the ability to break up scar tissue caused by injury and repetitive use. By doing so you can increase range of motion, reduce muscle tension and reduce the occurrence of chronic pain.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE technique is used as needed during massage and Pilates/personal training sessions with Shannon

Who WOULD Benefit From MASSAGE THERAPY?

Massage therapy is used to treat skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles. In this way, most everyone would benefit from this physical therapy, but especially those who suffer from stress, pain and muscle tension.

Massage therapy may also be recommended to help people cope with the pain and stress of cancer, heart disease, stomach problems, fibromyalgia or other conditions.
